Google opens SynthID Detector to the public for verifying AI watermarks in media

Google has opened SynthID Detector to the public, letting anyone check images, video and audio for SynthID invisible watermarks. The company cautions it is not a universal AI-content detector — it only identifies content that carries SynthID marks, not unlabeled AI-generated media.
