Pixel 9A's TPU compiler so buggy that GPT trips security warnings; SDK under soft NDA
mgostIH · x · 2026-10-09
A developer says the internal TPU compiler in the Pixel 9A is so poor that using GPT on it keeps triggering cybersecurity warnings due to system crashes in the compiler. The SDK is also under a soft NDA that forbids benchmarking, with no official TFLOP/s figures (author's estimates: 6 bf16, 11 INT8). He jokingly applies to Google to fix it.
