Following April's local-model dictation tool, the same Google team shipped Google AI Edge Foresight, a Mac app directly targeting AI note-taker Granola.
- Fully offline: transcription and note generation run on-device via EmbeddingGemma 2 (740M parameters), capturing cross-app meetings including in-person conversations.
- Granola-style split screen: manual shorthand notes on one side, AI-generated notes on the other, with live transcription alongside manual input.
- Knowledge base: upload PDFs, Google Docs, Office files, plain text, Markdown, and web bookmarks, then query them through a Gemma 4-powered assistant.
