Dev ships free open-source cloud coding agent tool with no single-lab lock-in
lucasmeijer · x · 2026-10-09
Developer Lucas Meijer has released a coding tool he's used for months, free and open source. It targets three pain points: no lock-in to a single AI lab, cloud agents running in isolated environments that can't touch his laptop, and staying connected to code he doesn't hand-write. Follow-up posts detail support for any subscription (including Claude Code) and any model, a remote dev environment per task, a solid mobile experience, and tooling built for evaluating agent work.
