At the Gemini at Work 2026 event, Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian announced Gemini, a single universal agent for work — carrying all your business context, handling knowledge work, Q&A, content creation, and coding from one prompt box.
Streamed live from Hangar One at NASA Ames, the event showcased how customers worldwide are transforming their organizations with Gemini. Also announced: Claude Haiku 5.5 on Google Cloud, positioned as a fast, cost-efficient supporting layer for subagents, real-time chat, and desktop automation.
