Arena raises $200M Series B at $3.1B valuation, launches Alignment Index for agents

AI evaluation platform Arena announced a $200M Series B at a $3.1B valuation. The company places agents in live tool-use environments and analyzes signals from millions of real user-agent interactions on long-horizon tasks.
Alongside the funding, Arena launched the Alignment Index, extending evaluation beyond capability to safety: built from real agent traces, it initially measures three signals — Unauthorized Action, False Attribution, and Deceptive Completion — with results for over 20 frontier models released today. Arena argues that as AI systems grow more autonomous, whether they reliably follow human intent and act safely is becoming the most important evaluation challenge.
