Nadella: Microsoft wants Copilot to become the new OS for work as agents proliferate

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella lays out his 'Infinite SaaS Factory' vision: work is still spent working around software, and AI is flipping that so software organizes around the work. He points to GitHub's accelerating repo, PR and commit activity as evidence of agentic development at scale, and argues more agents make systems of record more important — for trusted state, coordination and information — a pattern he says repeats in sales, support, finance and ops. The ambition: Copilot as an OS for work spanning every domain.
