Wondering which way a to-go coffee lid should face, the author used an AI coding agent to simulate liquid sloshing, combined with 5.3 hours of real vehicle-motion data from Boston and Singapore. The model says: point the opening roughly toward two o'clock — diagonally toward the car's side beats facing straight forward or backward. Drinking the coffee down a bit also helps a lot.
