EU delayed AI Act enforcement, and some US states now regulate AI more strictly

AI policy researcher Luiza Jarovsky points out a largely unnoticed shift: because the EU has postponed enforcement of the AI Act's high-risk provisions to 2027 and 2028, several US states are currently regulating AI more strictly than the EU does.
