RoomTSC: a scrappy SF lab using AI models to chase room-temperature superconductors
CatAstro_Piyush · x · 2026-10-08
RoomTSC, a tiny SF lab, is betting that AI lets a small team attempt a moonshot: finding a superconductor that works at room temperature and one atmosphere, where the record has sat near -135°C since the 1990s (H3S/LaH10 need 155-170 GPa). They released a 41-page draft paper on what limits superconductivity, plus roomtsc 0.1, a model estimating the Hopfield sum from crystal structure — trained on 27,151 computed compounds, halving the error of a fitted constant on held-out structure types.
