The author used Imagine 2.5 (flare version via atlas cloud) to turn familiar images into vintage magazine covers and found each one feels like it belongs to a different real publication — a whole magazine can be imagined from the cover alone. But they reflect that knowing the originals means filling in associations themselves; someone unfamiliar with the source might just see a nice vintage cover. They plan to redo the test with an unremarkable photo.
