Microsoft announced that Copilot on Windows is gaining "hybrid intelligence," using local PC context and on-device models to power Copilot tasks. With intelligent routing, local models, and a performant runtime, Windows will assign work to the right place—local or cloud—and services like GitHub are expected to route through this system. Observers noted much of this appears to require dedicated hardware.
