VIEScore2 launches: VLM-based eval that grades and localizes image errors in one pass
CMHungSteven · x · 2026-10-08
Following VIEScore, which used a VLM to score generated images with text explanations across image generation and editing tasks, the team has released VIEScore2. The new version uses one model in a single pass to both score generated and edited images and mark exactly where they go wrong on an N by N grid, making error localization far more explicit than text-only explanations.
