Will Agent Markets Become a 'Hunger Games' Competing Away All Margins?
staysaasy · x · 2026-10-08
Another slice of the @staysaasy / @mattslotnick debate on application-layer moats. staysaasy's core worry: if friction like brand, GTM, and customer trust can be bypassed, do these domains become an "Agent Hunger Games"—successive agents entering and competing away all margins? The risk isn't that Figma isn't useful (it is), but that too many products can be useful in the same space.
Context: staysaasy floated on a Wells Fargo TMT call in May that markets deemed "AI losers" through lab competition may actually be winners as great AI markets—more surface area for value discovery.
