Following OpenAI's release of 722 math manuscripts, the Association for Human Mathematics publicly urged mathematicians to discontinue work with OpenAI, calling the release a demonstration of power rather than scholarship. Terence Tao reposted the AHM statement on his blog.
The author argues the math community is protecting its turf and that walking away is not a scientific position.
