Anthropic's latest Claude Haiku 5.5 is now available on Databricks as a Day 0 launch, billed as Anthropic's cheapest, fastest, and most capable small model yet.
- On Databricks' OfficeQA Pro V1 benchmark, Haiku 5.5 delivers 15% higher quality than Haiku 4.5 at a fraction of the cost.
- It runs alongside 60+ other models on data already in Databricks for agentic apps, with Unity Gateway handling governance, monitoring, and security.
- Other October updates: DeepSeek V4.1 Flash gains priority pay-per-token and reserved provisioned throughput, GLM 5.2 moves to legacy (GLM 5.3/5.3 Flash recommended), and the Genie Code CLI — a terminal coding agent tuned for data and AI work — enters Beta.
