Signull: The agent bundling era will end — specialized agents are the next wave
signulll · x · 2026-10-08
With 270K followers, signulll argues we're in the "bundling era" of agents: general-purpose agents that can theoretically do everything create intense usability problems because the entire capability surface hides behind a chat box. No amount of proactivity or suggested prompts fixes that for normal users. He predicts the pendulum will swing back fast — the product layer will unbundle into specialized agents built around specific jobs, contexts, triggers, and interfaces, with lots of empty room remaining.
