Microsoft brings 'hybrid intelligence' to Windows Copilot with local models and PC context routing
testingcatalog · x · 2026-10-08
Microsoft is testing "hybrid intelligence" for Windows Copilot: with intelligent routing, local models, and a performant runtime, Windows will run each task locally or in the cloud as appropriate. With user permission, Copilot can use local PC context, take actions on the user's behalf, and tap local models to save tokens, with services like GitHub routing intelligently on Windows. Now rolling out to Windows testers.
