Embodied AI startup MeckaAI announced a $60M Series B led by Sequoia, bringing total funding past $120M, with the goal of becoming the data and deployment layer for physical AI.
Investor Steve Jang of Kindred Ventures explained the thesis: robots need data LLMs never required — perceptual and physical actions and their consequences, at scale and verified across various embodied agents. MeckaAI bet that a multimodal deep learning approach would emerge beyond pure VLAs, and reports remarkable customer growth since.
