Claude Code lets you set reasoning effort per subagent — here's how to tier it by task

Claude Coders can now set reasoning effort on ad-hoc subagents, adding another knob for controlling thinking depth and usage spend.
Recommended effort levels per task:
- Low: UI/frontend changes
- Medium: API design and dev, enough to cover edge cases
- High/xHigh: security work and code review
