Paradee has distilled Kokoro-82M into an 8M-parameter, single-voice single-language TTS model with only 9MB of weights. It speaks faster than real time on a single CPU thread and runs practically anywhere. The author argues there's no longer any excuse for 'robotic' voices except in nostalgia/artistic lanes.
