Indie chatbot Auro lets users blind-pick between model versions to shape its personality

Indie developer Alan (@aisentience) is rolling out big updates to Auro, a standalone chatbot designed to have presence and personality — warm, candid, and opinionated. The post teases training progress (an "Opus 5.5" mention, unverified).
Auro's core mechanism: every message returns answers from two hidden model versions, and the user's pick steers which version the conversation (and the model) moves toward. A "Best of" mode offers 2-4 answers per message, plus an arena for side-by-side judging.
The project is independent, unaffiliated with any company, keeps memories in the browser, and offers API access to developers on request.
