Microsoft Demos Copilot Hybrid Agents Using Local Models for Tax Documents

Microsoft's Copilot Hybrid Intelligence demo showed an agent scanning a PC for tax documents, organizing and renaming them for an accountant, with much of the basic work handled by local models to keep data on-device. Microsoft also says the capabilities integrate with partner tools like Hermes, OpenClaw, and Perplexity Compute, favoring local models where possible.
