OpenAI math results push LLMs toward 4 of 7 Millennium Prize problems, and one VC says AGI is here

VC Deedydas reacts to OpenAI's math release, claiming LLMs have made substantial progress on 4 of 7 Millennium Prize Problems: Navier-Stokes (claimed), Riemann, Hodge, and Birch–Swinnerton-Dyer (all pending verification). Each result reportedly took only 3 hours of thinking compute on unreleased models.
His key points:
- Two years ago models said 9.11 > 9.9; now they produce results beyond the smartest human minds, showing data, compute and algorithms genuinely scale, with every 3-month generation improving.
- Knowledge work will change monumentally; what AI can't do soon is likely context-bound (missing information) rather than intelligence-bound.
- By most definitions of AGI—surpassing humans on virtually all cognitive tasks—we are there; remaining human advantages (robotics, natural science research, some creativity, very long tasks) are mostly data-, creativity- or context-bound.
