Nvidia-Backed Lambda Raising Up to $4B at $14.5B Valuation Ahead of 2027 IPO

Per TechCrunch citing WSJ, Nvidia-backed AI cloud provider Lambda is raising up to $4 billion at a $14.5 billion pre-money valuation, led by Coatue and Blackstone — likely its last private round before a planned 2027 IPO.
An investor letter shows Lambda's backlog grew from $15B in June to $50B in September, but roughly $35B of that comes from a single customer: Anthropic, which signed in late August. That makes the valuation heavily dependent on Anthropic's ability to keep paying. Still, with GPU capacity scarce, investors remain eager to back providers holding major AI lab contracts.
