AWS shows how to automate remediation after DevOps Agent investigations with Lambda Durable Functions
AWS ML Blog · rss · 2026-10-07
AWS ML Blog demonstrates a workflow turning AWS DevOps Agent incident investigations into executable fixes: EventBridge triggers a Lambda Durable Function that asks Amazon Bedrock to pick remediations from a curated allowlist of purpose-built Lambda tools.
Key design points:
- Read-only actions run autonomously; mutating infrastructure changes suspend execution until human approval
- Durable Functions checkpoint progress and can pause minutes to days without consuming compute, resuming exactly on the approval signal
- An agentic loop iterates Bedrock calls, tool execution, and feedback until remediation completes, aiming to cut MTTR
The post includes full CDK deployment steps, an incident simulation guide, and an optional Kiro + Agent Toolkit natural-language deployment path.
