Datology AI open-sources Zephon, a deterministic on-the-fly dataloader that fixes cross-GPU-run inconsistency
josh_wills · x · 2026-10-07
Maxi Boether of Datology AI released Zephon, an open-source data loader for large-scale training data experiments. It tackles two recurring pain points: identical pipelines producing different evals on 16 vs 8 GPUs, and every pipeline change forcing a costly dataset re-materialization. Zephon processes data on the fly and deterministically, and has been battle-tested across thousands of internal data experiments. Practitioners like Luke Merrick endorse it for both small experiments and big runs.
