Opinion: AI can replicate average work, but not the judgment that makes you great
iamKierraD · x · 2026-10-07
The author argues that AI can probably replicate much of what an average performer does, since average work tends to mirror patterns it has already seen. But great work isn't just output — it's judgment, context, knowing when the obvious answer is wrong, which problem actually matters, and deciding without precedent. AI can help you do the work, but that doesn't mean it can do your job.
