Epoch AI poll: US cyber incident rate flat at ~45% since Claude Fable 5's release

A poll by Epoch AI with Ipsos finds the share of US adults experiencing a cyber incident hasn't grown since Claude Fable 5's release: about 45% reported at least one incident in the past 12 months in September, versus 46% in June.
Other indicators have risen, though — vulnerability disclosures from notable organizations grew roughly 5× per Epoch's previous research. The poll measures a different thing: whether more people personally experience incidents, not supply-side disclosure counts.
