Token efficiency is your security posture: why open models and routing matter for AI defense
sudoraohacker · x · 2026-10-07
jpatel41 argues that an organization's token efficiency is directly proportional to its security posture: machine-scale attacks require machine-scale defense, and without enough tokens you cannot defend yourself.
From this view, open-source/open-weights models, intelligent model routing, efficient yet SOTA-performing infrastructure, and streamlined permit regulation become essential safety ingredients — they determine whether defenders can afford machine-scale defense. Most companies haven't optimized for this yet.
