Elon Musk announced that Grok Bot will no longer rely solely on xAI models: SpaceX will pick the best backend model for any given task, including Claude Opus 5.5, MidJourney, Suno and other leading APIs — "whatever is most likely to give you the best outcome." The Grok brand is now decoupled from Grok models, adopting a best-model-wins routing strategy.
