Google Releases SAM, a P2P Network Letting AI Agents Discover and Call Each Other's Tools
thisguyknowsai · x · 2026-10-07
Google quietly released SAM (Sovereign Agent Mesh), a zero-config, zero-trust P2P network for AI agents. Agents like Claude Code, Hermes, and Codex running on separate machines can discover each other and call each other's tools. It features self-healing lightweight nodes, portable cryptographic identities, self-hosted control planes (cloud, Kubernetes, air-gapped), and user-held root signing keys.
