Van Gogh Starry Night town generator adds real-time brushstroke flow fields
simonxxoo · x · 2026-10-07
A developer updated their Van Gogh-style scene generator, building a full Starry Night town with a weather system and real-time starry-sky flow fields where star size and position affect nearby brushstroke trajectories — something they failed to achieve in Blender years ago. Built mainly with GPT-Astra Extra High plus Opus 5.5 High. Their iteration method: make smallest-unit generators (flowers, trees, clouds, buildings), hand-assemble simple scenes to fix bugs, then scale up to complex scenes; plans a Yellow House scene next, launching scene by scene.
