Atlassian launches AMP: agents join the team, and you can now send them a Loom
davidhoang · x · 2026-10-07
At Atlassian Team26 Europe, Atlassian announced the Agentic Multiplayer Protocol (AMP), a platform for humans and agents to collaborate as one team. For agent experience, AMP offers real-time and async collaboration, identity and shared presence, plus context and governance—agents join the team and share the same work surface rather than replacing humans.
Concretely, users can record a Loom with video and annotations for an agent, send it to an agent of choice, and it gets to work; agent Loom reviews for code review in Jira are coming soon. Jira is also shifting from planning work to capturing work in flight via agent sessions. The message: working in AI is now multiplayer, not single-player.
