LiteReality-Agent turns images into simulation-ready 3D scenes for MuJoCo robot planning

Zhening Huang's team released a new version of LiteReality-Agent, making image-to-3D-scene outputs truly simulation-ready for robotics. Four major upgrades:
- Layout Agent: converts noisy layouts into clean, physically valid, simulation-ready ones
- Upgraded articulated object reconstruction with full physical properties
- Native MuJoCo integration — reconstructed rooms go straight into physics simulation
- Small-object recovery powered by GPT-6 + Astra
Robotics veteran Andrew Davison commented that the old approach of turning sensor data into CAD-like scene graphs for simulation and planning is getting renewed attention as AI makes CAD fitting more general and automatic — explicit representation, simulation and planning haven't shown their full potential yet, and robots will do amazing things with it.
