Open-source art animation skill: 35 styles, 9 explainer grammars, runs in Claude Code
AlchainHust · x · 2026-10-07
Alchain (花叔) open-sourced huashu-art-motion, an MIT-licensed skill (991 stars and counting) that lets coding agents like Claude Code turn art styles into animated sequences with code — no need to wait for Fable 5.5.
Highlights
- Scope: 35 art styles spanning cave paintings to 8-bit pixel art, 9 explainer grammars (Kurzgesagt, Vox, whiteboard, 3Blue1Brown, each with runnable demo clips), 8 parameterized segments, plus full reference code for narrated videos.
- Showcase: a 65-second "Mario run" where bricks, pipes, level motion and transitions are all code-drawn with generated character frames (with pixel Sam and Dario cameos); a name-painting time-travel short with rotating Van Gogh skies and ink-wash transitions; a scroll film where the art style shifts as the character crosses each boundary.
- Usage: send the repo to Claude Code or run npx skills add alchaincyf/huashu-art-motion.
