Simular launches Sai API: top OSWorld 2.0 computer-use agent, one API call
xwang_lk · x · 2026-10-07
Simular released the Sai API, a computer-use agent platform that ranks #1 on OSWorld 2.0 with 73%.
- How it works: You give tasks in plain English and Sai operates a real Windows or macOS cloud computer like a human—seeing the screen, clicking and typing. It targets scenarios without APIs: web apps behind logins, admin consoles, desktop software, forms with no import. Dangerous actions trigger human approval links.
- Run once, replay as code: Unlike most agents that re-plan every step, Sai can save completed workflows as reusable skills—fixed steps become code, and the model is only queried where the screen matters, making reruns faster and cheaper. Workflows support parameters (e.g., vendor, month).
- Coding agent integration: Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor can use it via the @simular-ai/sai-mcp MCP server.
The docs include clear guidance: write code when a documented API exists or you need byte-exact output; use Sai when there's no API, you need a real browser session, the work happens in a desktop app, or the task is one-off. The free plan includes a cloud computer.
