Ryan Williams points out that OpenAI's one-tape Turing machine simulation (assuming it is correct) immediately implies that any RAM algorithm running in time t uses space in SPACE[t^{4/5}]. He wonders why OpenAI didn't mention this corollary, noting it was the whole point of his earlier question.
