Researcher Predicts Frontier AI Could Solve Most Well-Formed Science Problems by 2030
Afinetheorem · x · 2026-10-07
Based on his knowledge of where frontier models stand on non-mathematical science, @Afinetheorem predicts we may solve the majority of open, well-formed problems in those domains by 2030 — at least the subset that can conceivably be solved on a computer rather than through experimental testing.
He also notes he'll be in San Francisco Thursday and Friday and is open to meeting people working on AI and science.
