OpenAI announced the release of a broad range of new mathematical results produced by an internal frontier model, shaped by advice and public recommendations from the independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and AI at the Institute for Advanced Study. Quoting the announcement, SoloGen notes we're in a brief historical moment: 700+ new results have joined humanity's collective understanding of mathematics, yet since no human has read them, no individual's understanding has actually changed.
