OpenAI's math drop: BSD proven in many cases, L-functions zero-free for Re(s)>7/8
snikolov · x · 2026-10-07
A roundup of results from OpenAI's math drop is drawing attention. Highlights: "Quasi-Riemann [003]" proves the zeta function and all Dirichlet L-functions are zero-free for Re(s) > 7/8, excluding Landau–Siegel zeros; Hodge and Tate standard conjectures hold for CM abelian varieties and products of complex K3 surfaces; "BSD and Goldfeld [002, 006]" establishes full BSD at low Selmer corank and for density-one quadratic twists of every elliptic curve over Q, with twist ranks 0 and 1 each of density ½. Also cited: smoothly forced viscous flows can simulate arbitrary Turing machines, with a particle reaching a region exactly when the machine halts.
