Pollen's Microduck Robot Gets Its First Custom SBC, Running in One Day
Thom_Wolf · x · 2026-10-07
Pollen Robotics' Microduck humanoid robot now runs on its first fully custom SBC, built by Seeed around the same Rockchip CPU but with better memory, WiFi/BT, dual NFC antennas, status LEDs, an RGB flashlight, and major improvements in cooling, cable management, and boot speed. It replaces the prototype Radxa + board sandwich, and everything was running within a day. Hugging Face's Thom Wolf quipped: every robot starts on a board you bought; the good ones end up on a board you built — a milestone toward shipping.
