Per Dexerto, a killer is being resentenced after a court was shown an AI-generated video in which his dead victim appears to forgive him. The script was written by the victim's sister, who said they "probably could have been friends." The use of an AI recreation of a deceased person to influence a judicial outcome has sparked wide ethical debate.
