EU bans AI nudify tools from December 2: fines up to €35M or 7% of global turnover
Logical_Benefit2875 · reddit · 2026-10-07
Under the EU AI Act, nudify AI tools become illegal content in the EU from December 2, covering any provider whose product's primary function is non-consensual nudification — or where it's a foreseeable outcome without safeguards. The Digital Services Act extends liability to enablers: hosts, registrars, payment processors, CDNs and cloud providers face fines up to €35 million or 7% of global turnover. Recent takedowns like Motionmuse and Opengoon may be just the start of a broad crackdown.
