Tomo launches Anonymous Relays, letting users send messages to people off the platform
Jackyhuang · x · 2026-10-07
Social app Tomo released Anonymous Relays: users can send messages through Tomo to others even if recipients aren't on the platform yet.
Real use cases so far include anonymously asking friends what they want for their birthday, sending unsolicited compliments, matchmakeing friends (or themselves), and asking someone to homecoming. A classifier model blocks hateful messages from being relayed. The team frames it as enabling thoughtful interaction — and because it's fun.
