Blenderbox: open-source CLI gives coding agents isolated, persistent headless Blender sessions
tobowers · x · 2026-10-07
Developer tobowers open-sourced Blenderbox (MIT), a local CLI and Python SDK that gives each coding agent its own persistent, headless Blender instance. Multiple agents can run bpy scripts, inspect scenes, render previews, save files, branch work with checkpoints, and export formats like glb — all with fully isolated processes and scene state, no Blender MCP server or extension required. Workflow: blenderbox create → exec → preview → save/export/close. Useful for parallel 3D modeling and automated rendering agent pipelines.
