Google's team published in Nature Medicine an open-access paper on MedGemma, an open vision-language model for diverse medical applications, authored by dozens of researchers including Andrew Sellergren and Sahar Kazemzadeh.
Poster Sam Schmidgall, himself a co-author, credits the MedGemma team for increasing access to medical AI in global health settings where it is needed the most.
