Hugging Face doubles capacity again as 150-person waitlist forms for Open Together SF party

Hugging Face's "Open Together: AI Builders Unite" party kicks off Open Source AI Week on Friday, October 16 at The Midway in San Francisco. With 150 people on the waitlist 10 days out, organizers doubled capacity again — over 1,000 are now registered.
The free event runs 6pm-9pm with community demos (36 Hugging Face Spaces slots, apply by Oct 2) followed by a DJ dance party until midnight. Hosts include Arcee AI, Ai2, Unsloth AI, Nous Research, vLLM, LMSYS, and GitHub. The first 500 attendees get collectible HF swag.
