Crimson v0.12 ships verified online leaderboard that replays every run before counting
banteg · x · 2026-10-07
Developer banteg released crimson v0.12, rebuilding the crimsonland game with a verified online leaderboard:
- Anti-cheat: every run uploads automatically after finishing, but the server fully replays each run before the score counts, so all leaderboard entries are genuine.
- No sign-up: the game generates an ed25519 keypair on first launch and signs submissions with it; players can optionally link GitHub, Discord, or X for a displayed handle.
- In-game scores: clicking "update scores" on the high-score screen pulls internet scores, just like the original game.
- Boards exist for survival and each quest, in normal and hardcore modes.
Playable now via uvx crimsonland@latest.
