AI artist Alexander Reben has joined Google as Artist in Residence, following residencies with OpenAI and Meta Open Arts. Reben has long explored how humans relate to increasingly intelligent systems and what an artist might notice from inside the places where those technologies are built. "You learn what a system is by living downstream of it for a while," he says.
